@capetownkids

Iziko Museum & Planetarium 📍 Cape Town Central This was the perfect outing on a rainy winter’s day. Shane has been lucky enough to experience this a few times, but this was Hayley’s first visit, and it was absolutely adorable to see her reaction as she took it all in. We started with the planetarium, where we watched the beautiful show “Dream to Fly.” The story was so educational, which Shane absolutely loved! For Hayley, it was more about the incredible graphics 😻, and she was in awe of the “dome” effect, with her little head spinning in all directions. This truly is such an amazing experience that I hope all children get to witness at least once. After the planetarium, we began our journey through the museum—this never gets boring! There is so much to see and learn. Shane has recently been learning about the San and their rock paintings and was so excited to see the actual Linton Panel “in real life” (bless him). For Hayley, it was everything—from the whales hanging from the rafters to the life-sized elephants! She was wide-eyed the entire time. We ended our day with a chilly walk through the Company Gardens, feeding the ever-so-friendly and rather cheeky squirrels, and finally warming up in front of a hot fire at the Company Gardens Restaurant, where we satisfied our never-ending cake and coffee cravings. 😂 . . . #CapeTownKids #CapeTownWithKids #IzikoMuseum #CapeTownAttractions #FamilyDayOut #PlanetariumExperience #CapeTownMuseums #DiscoverCapeTown #KidsInCapeTown #CapeTownExplored #FamilyAdventure #MuseumDay #EducationalFun #FamilyTravel #CapeTownCentral #PlanetariumShow #MuseumLovers #CapeTownLife #ExploringWithKids #SouthAfricaTravel #FamilyFun #FamilyMemories #FamilyTime #WeekendActivities #FamilyBonding #ChildhoodMemories
