What happens when you mix custom Lamborghinis, a rap legend like Bun B, and a lineup of global hitmakers? You get Travis Scott’s long-awaited Jackboys 2, and yes, it’s dropping this Sunday, July 13.
After months of teasing fans across social media and sneak peeks in live shows, the Cactus Jack boss finally confirmed the release date in typical La Flame fashion. He posted a flier reading, “The Jack is back with 17 tracks full of trunk-rattling classics in the making.” Hosted by Houston icon Bun B, this album isn’t just another release – it’s a moment.
TRACKLIST
”JackBoys 2 is the upcoming second collaborative compilation album by American record label Cactus Jack Records, known as hip-hop group JackBoys, and its founder, American rapper and singer Travis Scott. It is set to be released through Cactus Jack Records alongside Epic Records on July 13, 2025. The album features confirmed guest appearances from Sheck Wes, Don Toliver, SoFaygo, Wallie the Sensei, 21 Savage, Vybz Kartel, SahBabii, Waka Flocka Flame, GloRilla, Kodak Black, and Tyla, among others. It serves as the sequel to their first compilation album, which was released on December 27, 2019. JackBoys is a hip-hop musical collective of rappers signed to Cactus Jack, which consists of Scott himself, Wes, Toliver, SoFaygo, Wallie, and Scott’s DJ, Chase B.”
The Return of a Legacy
Travis first introduced the world to the Jackboys in 2019, creating a platform for artists under his Cactus Jack imprint, like Don Toliver and Sheck Wes. That compilation project debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard 200 and gave us hits like “Out West” and “Had Enough.” Now, six years later, Jackboys 2 picks up where that legacy left off – but bigger, louder, and more cinematic.

This time around, Travis is expanding the Cactus Jack circle with collaborators that stretch from Atlanta to Kingston. Names already teased include Tyla, Waka Flocka Flame, GloRilla, 21 Savage, Kodak Black, SoFaygo, SahBabii, Vybz Kartel, and of course, core Jackboys Don Toliver and Sheck Wes.
A Project Wrapped in Hype
Travis first hinted at Jackboys 2 during a performance in Miami this past March. A month later, he dropped what looked like a Harmony Korine-directed trailer on Instagram, filled with surreal scenes, flames, and his signature dystopian vibes. That aesthetic has continued in the visuals, with featured artists spotted alongside custom-designed Lamborghinis wrapped in the “Jackboys 2” logo.

Earlier this week, fans got a taste of what’s coming with the music video for “2000 Excursion,” a cinematic, high-speed ride featuring uncredited vocals from both Don Toliver and Sheck Wes. It’s unclear whether this track will land on the final album, but it certainly set the tone.
The Bun B Co-Sign

Having Bun B as the host adds a serious layer of credibility and culture to the project. Bun isn’t just a Houston legend – he’s a symbol of Southern rap excellence. His presence connects the raw energy of young Jackboys to the roots of classic hip-hop. That bridging of generations speaks volumes.
Speaking to SFI.COZA, Durban-based hip-hop lover Neo Mokwena said, “It’s not just a flex. Bun B brings weight. Travis is showing that the Jackboys movement has matured, and he’s ready to tell a bigger story.”
A Movement That Feels Global
Travis Scott has always had an eye for scale. While he reps Houston through and through, his music and visuals speak to a generation raised on internet culture, fashion drops, and cross-genre collabs. For African fans, the inclusion of South Africa’s own Tyla is huge.
Local fans are already buzzing. Tyla on Jackboys 2 is a global moment; this kind of co-sign puts South African talent in front of a whole new audience. It’s culture-sharing in real-time.”
Soundtrack to the Summer
17 tracks deep, Jackboys 2 is expected to deliver a variety of sounds. From trap-heavy club bangers to experimental melodies, Travis is known for his ability to layer his soundscape with haunting synths, aggressive 808s, and unexpected features. With Don Toliver’s buttery vocals, GloRilla’s grit, and Vybz Kartel’s dancehall touch, expect an album that hits different from track to track.
And if the physical releases are anything to go by, Scott is going all in on the experience. Multiple versions of the album cover are already live on the Jackboys webstore, along with vinyl, limited-edition merch, and digital download options.
Looking Back, Moving Forward
Travis’ last full-length album, Utopia, dropped in July 2023 and was packed with high-concept visuals and stadium-sized sound. Jackboys 2 isn’t just the follow-up to the 2019 compilation – it’s the continuation of a sonic and visual journey that keeps reinventing what rap albums can look and feel like.
With Jackboys 2, Travis Scott is doing what he does best: creating moments that live beyond the music. From the visuals to the vinyl, the collaborations to the culture, this album is more than a drop – it’s an era.
