Chelsea’s new owners have sacked head coach Thomas Tuchel.

Chelsea made a statement just minutes after informing Tuchel that he had been fired: “Chelsea Football Club has today parted company with head coach Thomas Tuchel.”

A club statement read: “On behalf of everyone at Chelsea FC, the club would like to record its appreciation to Thomas and his team for all of their efforts throughout their time with the club.” Thomas has earned a place in Chelsea history after winning the Champions League, Super Cup, and Club World Cup during his stay at the club’’.

According to sources, there have been concerns behind the scenes at Chelsea throughout summer, which Tuchel has alluded to on occasion.

Tuchel made it obvious that he did not appreciate the increased responsibilities he was given during the transfer window when Boehly and Clearlake gave him more power and influence over Chelsea’s affairs.

He has expressed his dissatisfaction that former technical and performance advisor Petr Cech left Stamford Bridge after the takeover and confirmed on Saturday that he will not be engaged in the appointment of a new sporting director.

Chelsea have lost two of their first six Premier League games of the season, falling to Southampton and Leeds United, while also drawing at home against Tottenham.

What Now?

The new ownership group believes the time is appropriate to make this transition as it has been 100 days since taking over the Club and as it continues to work hard to move the club forward.

As the Club moves quickly to appoint a new head coach, Chelsea’s coaching staff will be in charge of the team for training and preparation for our upcoming fixtures.

Who Will Be Chelses’s New Manager?

Although it’s uncertain if Chelsea has already found a replacement for Tuchel, names like Mauricio Pochettino and Zinedine Zidane are expected to be mentioned in connection with the position at Stamford Bridge.

However, according to talkSPORT, Brighton manager Graham Potter is Chelsea’s top priority.
