Earbuds That Can Translate Any Language in Real-Time Without an Internet Connection

Earbuds That Can Translate Any Language in Real-Time Without an Internet Connection

The third iteration of the Timekettle M3 aims to perfect the three features that make TWS Earbuds such a ground-breaking product: wireless audio for music and calls, active noise cancellation for the best listening experience, and perhaps the M3’s most impressive feature: real-time audio translation, even when the device is offline.

Timekettle first appeared in 2017 with its lauded WT2 earbuds that boasted real-time translation. The M2 was unveiled in 2021 after a few hardware, software, and overall design modifications. The M2 had one earpiece on each side of the split earbud housing that could be removed, worn, and used separately. The goal was to demonstrate through design that these earpieces are different from standard left-right audio units. They are made to be split in two and shared (sort of like a KitKat).

image

Give one to a friend and the two of you may conduct a natural conversation in two different languages. The earbuds will take care of the rest, translating both languages simultaneously and in real-time without the need for an internet connection. Of course, the M2 can also be worn like a regular pair of TWS earbuds, making it ideal for taking calls, listening to music, and even receiving real-time translation from an outside audio source.

The M2, as fantastic as it sounds, is already obsolete, as Timekettle has released the M3 earphones, which have considerable improvements. The M3 has the same split-case design as its predecessor and enables real-time translation of 40 languages and 93 accents (only major languages operate offline), but with a more ergonomic fit, improved Active Noise Cancelation, and professional-grade EQ tuning abilities. The term “real-time” isn’t just there for show; Timekettle claims that the M3’s translations are 95% correct and have a 0.5-second latency.

image 1

This is because the earphones use six of the world’s leading translation engines (DeepL, Google, Microsoft, iFlytek, AmiVoice, and Hoya) as well as Timekettle’s own engine to produce correct results rapidly. It also makes the overall M3 experience much more smooth, as opposed to the clumsy portable translators that are currently available. All translation takes place on-device and is delivered straight to your ear, allowing individuals to speak more organically.

The earbuds also have high-precision ANC (Active Noise Cancelation) and dual-mic noise reduction for your own voice, ensuring crystal-clear audio during calls even in busy environments. A Qualcomm Bluetooth 5.2 chip on the inside provides a precise and seamless connection every time, while Timekettle’s associated smartphone app not only aids translation, but also has its own EQ settings, allowing you to fine-tune your M3’s listening experience to the greatest extent possible. The M3 is also IPx4 water resistant, lasting roughly 7.5 hours on a full charge and up to an additional 25 hours when used in conjunction with the charging case.

image 2

The M3 is priced similarly to a standard pair of TWS earbuds, but it also comes with an offline pack that enables internet-free translation for 8 languages (English to Japanese, French, Spanish, Korean, Chinese, Russian, and German) and 40 languages once linked online. The Timekettle app is available for both Android and iOS phones, and when combined with the M3, provides an ideal setup for foreign vacations, exchange programs, or just working with international clients.

Adidas’s and Gap’s collaborations with Kanye West have not been without consequences.

Adidas’s and Gap’s collaborations with Kanye West have not been without consequences.

Beef explained: What is Kanye West’s problem with GAP and Adidas?

Video by Spill Sesh

Kanye West has been back on Instagram for just over a week, and it’s been a wild ride as always. Since his return, the rapper has used his platform to trash nearly everyone, including Kim Kardashian, Adidas, GAP, and poor Kris Jenner, who was caught in the crossfire.

However, Adidas and GAP have been the primary targets of Ye’s fury, with him tweeting attacks of the two garment firms almost every day. However, this is not the first time West has blasted the company; earlier this summer, he criticized Adidas for releasing slides that were too similar to his Yeezy slides. Since then, the Grammy Award winner has only increased and sharpened his criticism. We’re here to clarify the Kanye West, Adidas, GAP, and Yeezy conflict, as well as what all those Instagram posts mean.

What is Kanye West’s beef with Adidas?

So, all of this controversy between West and Adidas began when the rapper slammed the firm for producing sandals dubbed the Adilette 22, which he said were an exact imitation of his Yeezy slides. West deleted the post shortly after it had been uploaded.

Following that, things were rather tranquil (by Ye’s standards, at least) until that fateful day in August, also known as Yeezy Day. When West returned to Instagram, he stated that Yeezy Day and the sneakers Adidas was releasing were not authorized by him. With all due respect, we don’t believe he was truly involved based on the horrible hues that were shown.

West kept mute until his second appearance in late August, when he increased the pressure by outlining a series of allegations against Adidas. However, things really started to pick up on September 2. He made veiled allusions to Adidas officials in an almost unending

string of Instagram postings that were both published and removed, notably making fun of Adidas SVP Daniel Cherry III.

While West shared pictures of the executive boards of Adidas and JP Morgan Chase (some bank officials are on the supervisory board of the sportswear firm), Kid Cudi also snapped a few offensive pictures. Additionally, he briefly replaced his account’s regular black circle Instagram profile photo with one of JP Morgan managing director Jing Ulrich. After that, he turned it back to the black circle and added a photo of Adidas CCO Alasdhair Willis in its place.

After complaining that Instagram was attempting to remove his posts, Kanye West continued to share images of executives from Adidas and JP Morgan. He also gave us all some musical recommendations, calling Wizkid’s “Essence” the “best song in the history of music”.

West even claimed that Adidas had offered to buy out his Yeezy line for $1 billion. In an attempt to irritate Davidson as his Instagram diatribe reached a fever pitch, he shared an updated version of the Marvel Civil War meme that he had posted in February. West is up against Adidas and Cherry this time.

What is Kanye West’s beef with GAP?

West claims that GAP is imitating the YEEZY GAP ENGINEERED BY BALENCIAGA (YGEBB) appearance in its mainline designs, akin to the Adidas disaster. A black GAP t-shirt that appeared to be produced by West himself was the item that irritated Ye.

He posted a picture of some neon Yeezy glasses to Instagram on August 31st along with the caption, “Gap organized a meeting about me without me?” He reappeared again that day, this time posting a screenshot of text messages accusing GAP of stealing one of his designs. In the text, West wrote, “This is GAP replicating YGEBB.” He wrote, “But they cancelled the picture shoot with my kids,” as the post’s caption.

West announced on September 1st that he intends to construct his own Yeezy boutiques, despite both GAP and Adidas legally agreeing that “they will build permanent storefronts.”

An Early Look at Apple iOS 16’s software update, with cool New Features

An Early Look at Apple iOS 16’s software update, with cool New Features

Ladies and gentlemen, turn on your iPhones; iOS 16 is now available. After three months of software testing, Apple has officially released its major new iPhone update for all compatible phones. It offers a plethora of novel and fascinating features. You may already be aware of some features, such as the ability to edit iMessages, but not all of them. Learn about the following 26 features before downloading iOS 16 to your iPhone.

Not every iPhone will support all 26 of these capabilities, even if iOS 16 was just released. Depending on your particular iPhone, you may get any or all of these new capabilities after the update. Certain features from prior versions might be eliminated because Apple still supports iPhones as far back as the 8. This is a detailed list of features exclusive to specific iPhone devices. Unfortunately, if your iPhone is too old, it won’t get iOS 16 at all; nonetheless, you might want Apple to upgrade if you want these new features.

With IOS 16 The Customization is Endless

iOS 16 Lock Screen Customize

Naturally, the most anticipated feature of iOS 16 is the new lock screen customization. In contrast to its tradition of maintaining the OS’s aesthetics fixed in a specific way, Apple now lets users change the typeface and even the color of the clock on your lock screen.

That’s not all, of course. You can program your lock screen to switch between different images throughout the day, or you can pick one of your favorite pictures as the wallpaper. Additionally, there is a feature that lets you enhance depth to a picture by positioning the clock behind particular areas of the subject.

Calendar, fitness, reminders, and even third-party widgets are among the built-in features of the lock screen. To avoid having too many alerts overwhelm your carefully chosen lock screen, all notifications will now appear from the bottom of the screen with the option to view them in an extended list, stack, or count mode.

iOS 16 Enhanced Cinematic Mode

Machine learning produced Visual Look Up’s tap-to-crop feature, which we may use to enhance the cinematic mode. With the next A16 Bionic CPU and machine learning speedups, we might expect better cinematic mode movies. Furthermore, “clipping” the subject will be more precise and the background blur effect will be more consistent. It would be possible to perform operations similar to portrait mode in cinematic mode, including changing the background to a black one or placing the subject in front of a white one, with the aid of this separation technology.

Apple’s immensely handy Live Text function, which can recognize and copy text in photographs, has been enhanced to be able to do the same with movies. In addition to its other helpful features, the upgrade allows Live Text to translate text directly from images and exchange currencies.

iOS 16 Focus Mode Upgrades

In addition to avoiding warnings, concentrate mode also permits further screen customisation. If you’d like, you can create distinct lock screens and home screens with different wallpapers, widgets, and apps for each focus mode you employ.

Notification

Before before, only certain contacts and programs could prevent alerts in focus modes. With iOS 16, you can now choose “Silence Notifications From,” which allows you to block particular people or apps.

Automatic Verification

In partnership with several prominent cloud service providers, Apple created Automatic Verification to address the annoyance of CAPTCHAs on the Internet. Thanks to a feature that uses Private Access Tokens to validate your device, you can circumvent CAPTCHAs on most websites hosted on Cloudflare or Fastly, as well as on some apps that use the bot-sifter.

VERIFICATION

The feature seems to be enabled by default after switching to iOS 16, however you may disable it by selecting Settings > Apple ID > Password & Security > Automatic Verification. Testing showed no differences in the apps and websites we checked, and the unpleasant CAPTCHA question persisted, despite the fact that this should, in theory, be a game-changer. It’s unclear why it isn’t working right now.

iOS 16 Messages

MESSAGES

Texts can now be marked as unread in Messages, which is helpful if you wish to review them at a later time. You may collaborate with other users in apps like Files, Keynote, and Notes by opening SharePlay from within Messages.

The biggest modification, though, is the addition of new editing features in iOS 16 Messages. If you respond to the incorrect text message, for instance, you can change it after sending it and then unsend it. You only have a little window of time to use the editing and unsending features after sending your text.

iOS 16 Mail

Not just in Messages, but in iOS 16 Mail, you can now undo any sent messages that you made a mistake with. iOS 16 Mail has the same features as Gmail, including the option to schedule emails to be sent at a later time in addition to the ability to unsend emails.

iOS 16 Safari

SAFARI 1

With iOS 16 Safari, you can share Tab Groups with other users, expanding on the Tab Groups functionality that was first introduced with iOS 15 last year and introducing collaborative capabilities. The other significant change in iOS 16 is the introduction of passkeys, a password substitute that has to be adopted by websites and third-party apps. We did, however, talk to Apple about how passkeys enhance the password experience.

 iOS 16 MAPS

sGX4vhJtSiazEgKDY3Jf86 1200 80.jpg

In iOS 16 Maps, additional locations will have more in-depth city maps, and you’ll be able to calculate trip costs when you plan routes using the public transit option. Even better, you can top off the balance on any transport cards you’ve saved in the Wallet app using the new Maps. However, the most significant improvement to Maps is the inclusion of multi-stop route planning while driving. In actuality, each trip allows for a maximum of 15 stops.

iOS 16 NEWS

In News, this results in a separate section featuring certain teams and displaying results, content, and video highlights. The My Sports feature, which allows users to choose preferred teams from a range of sports, is the major update to the News app.

iOS 16 Fitness

Your movement may now be tracked without an Apple Watch. A separate fitness app that keeps track of your steps, miles traveled, and calories burned has been included in iOS 16. Fitness on the iPhone might encourage you to get up and move every day, even if it’s a scaled-down version of a comparable app accessible to Apple Watch owners.

What Features Won’t Be Available In IOS 16 When It Launches?

Apple hinted at a new iCloud Shared Photo Library in June that would make it simpler to share images with loved ones. You may share your iCloud Shared Photo Library with up to five more individuals, and each of them is able to upload new photographs and edit existing ones.

We anticipated iCloud Shared Photo Library to launch alongside the rest of iOS 16’s new features throughout the iOS 16 beta process. However, The Verge (opens in a new tab) revealed last week that iCloud Shared Photo Library wouldn’t be released today alongside the rest of iOS 16. In fact, “iCloud Shared Photo Library” is now listed. as arriving “later this year” on Apple’s iOS 16 features page (opens in a new tab).

Live Activities wouldn’t be ready along with the rest of iOS 16 was something we previously knew. This is a brand-new type of notification that informs you of current information, such as the outcome of a sporting event or the progress of a ride-sharing service that is scheduled to pick you up. Live Activities rely heavily on third parties developing new widgets using Apple’s developer tools; however, these won’t be available until after iOS 16 is released. With its Timer widget, which provides a real-time countdown on the lock screen, Apple does provide users a small glimpse of how Live Activities will function.
